Marleshwar

Marleshwar is Lord Shiva's template located in Konkan about
85 Km from chiplun.

We were here in first week of July however the environment was so humid.
Best time to visit Marleshwar is mansoon. As you can see waterfall with
its extreme flow of water.

We heard that there are lots of snakes however we didn't found any. We heard from local people that on "Mahashivratri" there are lots of snakes you can see near shivlinga.

At entrance of Marleshwar there a great green view of mountain and sound of water flowing. There are about 630 steps up to Temple.

After passing about half of steps there are number of monkey waiting to grab
whatever in you hand so be careful.

There are so many stall for  bel , flowers and prasad. After so walking about 600 - 650 steps you will see the waterfall and cave.

Taking photos in cave is prohibited. When you enter cave you will see shivliga. You will feel very holy and peace of mind.

There is always crowd for taking photo with waterfall. There are many monkey that comes to take food , snax from people. Initially we got scared by those monkey however after that we got comfortable with their presence.

So overall the place is for people who to enjoy nature's beauty, waterfall and want to visit temple of shiv.
